One Thing

"All I know is, everything I have means nothing, Jesus, if you're not my ONE THING!"

As we reflect on Holy Week and the ultimate sacrifice Jesus paid so we can have eternal life in heaven, I know that the victory of the empty tomb means everything to me.

I hope and pray that you listen closely to the message of hope this week, and if you haven't already done so, make Jesus your ONE THING! He deeply desires your heart!

Unusual Kindness

Welcome back from Spring Break! I hope that everyone had a restful and relaxing time. We have just over two months of school left. That is so hard to believe. I am looking forward to all of the fun activities we have planned as we finish up the school year!!

I was reading a devotion that I shared with the faculty this morning and it has had quite the impact on me so I wanted to share it with you too. The idea was that often times we do random acts of kindness for others, but do we stop and think about doing unusual acts of kindness? I shared this with some students this morning as well and was pleasantly surprised at how easily they caught on to the idea. It's about being the hands and feet of Jesus.

The islanders showed us unusual kindness. They built a fire and welcomed us all because it was raining and cold. Acts 28:1-2

Unusual acts of kindness go above and beyond. They are truly unusual. The islanders did not welcome Paul and the other prisoners because of some important reason or important status. They welcomed them just because it was raining and cold.

Think about doing an act of unusual kindness today. Be intentional about doing more whether it be for your family and friends or a stranger at the grocery store!

Much love to you all!
